West Metro Celebrates 10 Years Of Healthcare Excellence Zamboanga City
West Metro Medical Center marked its 10th Anniversary on May 16, 2025 (Friday) with a celebration held at Palacio del Sur, Zamboanga City, honoring a decade of compassionate care and service excellence. The focused on People Excellence initiative, highlighting the commitment to recognizing and celebrating the dedication of its healthcare professionals. The program opened with a message from Ms. Honey Mae Cruz, Senior Human Resource Officer, who reflected on the hospital’s journey: “West Metro was founded on a mission to deliver exceptional care, build a strong community of professionals, and serve with compassion, excellence, and integrity.” She thanked the doctors, nurses, staff, and partners for being the driving force behind the hospital’s success. “West Metro Medical Center is not just a hospital—it’s a home, a family, and a place of healing,” she added. A key highlight of the celebration was the parade and recognition of employees and consultants who have served 5 and 10 years in the institution. Their dedication and loyalty were recognized as vital contributions to the hospital’s continued growth and performance. During the closing remarks, Chief Executive Officer Joseph Michael D. Nepomuceno, DBA expressed his heartfelt appreciation to their President Celso Bernard Lopez and Metro Pacific Health for their visionary leadership and support, which played a pivotal role in transforming West Metro Medical Center into the progressive and patient-centered institution it is today. As West Metro looks ahead, the 10th Anniversary stands as a testament to its unwavering mission and continued commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and heartfelt care.

A Decade of Care, A Day of Giving Back
To close our month-long 10th Anniversary celebration, West Metro Medical Center held a meaningful Medical Mission last May 31, 2025, in Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City. The day began with a vibrant motorcade, followed by a short program that marked the beginning of a full day of giving back. Our dedicated team offered free medical consultations, dental services, and Tuli (circumcision)—bringing healthcare directly to the community. This mission is more than a celebration—it's a reflection of our commitment to compassionate care and community wellness. Thank you to all our partners and volunteers for making this event a success!
ICT & Innovation Week
West Metro Medical Center Celebrates ICT & Innovation Week 2025
With the theme “Empowering Healthcare through Technology: Enhancing Patient Care Every Day!”, West Metro Medical Center marked a week of learning, growth, and digital transformation from June 20 to 30, 2025. We officially opened the celebration on June 20, followed by a series of training sessions that equipped our teams with essential tech skills including Data Analytics using Excel, Medical Notes using AI, and Messaging through 3CX. The celebration concluded on June 30 with a demonstration of Teleconsultation using Digital Front Door (DFD) — bringing healthcare even closer to our community. Together, we move forward in innovation, service, and smarter care.

West Metro Medical Center Celebrates Nutrition Month 2025
As Nutrition Month 2025 wraps up, West Metro Medical Center celebrates a meaningful month dedicated to promoting food and nutrition security as a basic right. From our grand kickoff on July 1 with interactive booths at the UCC, to the daily sharing of healthy meals and recipes for in-patients, the celebration brought wellness to life. We launched the “Weigh Less for Wellness” challenge (July 7–9), hosted a Cancer Center lecture and Pinggang Pinoy challenge (July 9), shared tips via “Nutrition via Viber” (July 14–18), and turned creativity into advocacy through “NutriSining” on July 21. The month ended on July 28 with a culminating program on household food security and an awarding ceremony
